What happens if the Calamarain killed Q in his mortal form?

In Deja-Q when the Calamarain showed up to get revenge on Q because Q had tormented them in the past and gotten away with it, what would have happened if Picard just abandoned Q right away and turned him over to the Calamarain to deal with their justice?

Surely Q deserved it, but this would of course deny Q the chance to save the ship and prove himself worthy of being a Q with his noble sacrifice, Q dying in mortal form might have had a great impact on the Q, on the downside the Humans would be on their bad side.

Q on the other hand might end up going to Sto'Vo'Kor or Gre'Thor, that could be a fitting reward for Q.

Q would be dead and that'd be that.

It is only to the Q we get to see that humans are so interesting. To the rest of the continuum, most lifeforms are really below their care or notice.

Yeah. I don't think Corbin Bernsen would take over tormenting Picard.

But then Picard would have died in Tapestry. 😭

No one would want that.
