Nina was my favorite!

I HATED that they reunited her w/ her birth mother and had her leave the show. I also hated that they changed Tisha's hair!

Anyway, the producer's where wrong that they had too many kids on the show, it was perfect! Nina should have told her mother, "Hey, it's nice knowing you and all... maybe we can be friends, but Nick and the girls are my family and I'm not leaving them!"

I felt that Nick and Nina had the strongest connection... and some of the best scenes. Like when he comes to rescue her at Big Sur.

Nina was my favorite too. I was disappointed that they didn't bring her character on the regular series. I also think that if they were going to reunite her with her mother, they should have shown it. Patty stayed instead of going with her mother. I think that they should have done the same thing with Nina. I felt that if they were going to do that with her character, then they shouldn't have even brought her on to begin with.

she was mine too! i think i was 5 or six at the time.....patty annoyed me the most, why not get rid of her??

poor Nina got the ol' Facts of Life treatment. I wonder what exactly happened.

I must admit that her talk w/ nick in the pilot episode about her liking being yelled at sternly was a little creepy in a sexual sense. But heck, there is sexual creepiness throughout the entire series. I'm sure it was all unintentional, or maybe I'm just a perv to begin with. But watching these as an adult on DVD, I'm picking up a crapload of things I never could have caught as a child.

He used them to lighten his image to get a merger. He didn't have any intentions to do anything with them, he & his girlfriend even looked at a boarding school. Nina's running away brought them all closer together, to the point he wanted them to stay around.

biggest mistake getting rid of nina, the show wasn`t the same to me after they did that, plus getting rid of nick`s friend who gave him the idea to adopt the girls and the rest of the household staff was a knife in the back, the house wasn`t even the same one used in the pilot,if nina had stayed everything would be alright, don`t get me wrong I`ll still watch the show but not with that happiness that i watched the pilot.

I just found the pilot movie, on Youtube, and there seems to be a lot of people that liked Nina. I wonder if the show got mail about her.

Add me as a another Nina fan. She should have stayed in the series!

I just think that they shouldn't have bothered to have brought her on if they weren't going to use her. Out of all of the girls, her story was the biggest one in the pilot. I also loved her interaction with Marva. I forgot what episode it was(now keep in mind I haven't watched anything in a thousand years), but I think that it was when they were trying to save a restaurant and the owner said that he had known the girls for awhile and showed a picture when they were in the orphanage. Only 5 of the girls were shown. 2 things! If they weren't going to show the reunion of Nina and her mother and if they weren't going to talk about Nina like she never existed they shouldn't have brought her on the pilot.

even in the pilot at the end when nick puts the girls in his car in front of the orphanage nina is missing.

reply

Nina isn't missing. I went back and watched and he took all 6 girls with him.
