i know that back then nina my favorite was axed from the show,but did you know that even then on the pilot she is missing at the very end when nick puts the girls in his car outside the orphanage,i only counted 5,nina was nowhere to be seen,plus the dvd that`s coming out has no bonus material,2 strikes against the producers and dvd release company.
shareTV shows often change cast from the time the pilot is made to the time the series is picked up and resumes production. Nina (Heather McAdam) was one of the cast that wasn't included when the show went to series. She is seen in one more episode, but only in flashbacks from the pilot. Once it went to series, they probably wanted less girls so the cast wouldn't be so big.
They did this between the first and second seasons of The Facts of Life, too. In the short first season there were 7 girls in the main cast, including a young Molly Ringwald. In season 2, they dropped 4 of those and added Jo and had a regular cast of just 4 girls.
And who cares if there are bonus materials, I'm just glad we'll get to see the episodes again after all these years.

I actually saw this set in Best Buy this past Sunday for $14.99. It's not even supposed to be released until June 5th, but there on the shelf was one copy of this DVD set. Somebody screwed up and put it out early.
If I hadn't already pre-ordered it from Amazon months ago, I would have bought it. It's gonna cost a few dollars more, but with taxes added if I had bought it at Best Buy it doesn't come out to that much of a difference.

I went on the BestBuy Canada website to see how much its going to cost and they dont have it listed on their site yet.
