I don't think it was ever revealed. But in the rather rushed final episode she ended up living with Reiser and his new wife, so I would imagine he was probably the real Dad, i liked to think so anyway (I liked him best) Although I went along happily with the whimsical premise when I saw this 25 years ago, I think now that it is not credible that a child really wouldn't want to know who her real dad is. when you consider the amount of time and effort many adopted children devote to finding their biological parents.
