Anyone realized that? In The Razors Edge (S02E10), Bud said that he's the only one virgin in the house and Kelly was awkward in that moment. In my opinion, 16 is way too early to lost a virginity, but oh well..

shareYea I was always of the impression she was 14 or so when she gave it up. Which for the late 80s was a pretty normal age but kelly was always depicted as being a slut sooner then that. So I'm guessing she gave it up to a science teacher at Junior high or something. I want to remember the show made it a point to say she lost it in a horrible way like that.
shareWhat everyone seems to miss is that there wasn't an episode that clearly defined Kelly having sex. As light hitting as Bud was as a ladies man, there were several episodes where Bud absolutely did have sex. Sure, there was plenty of innuendo regarding Kelly, but nothing specific. Every other character did: Peg and Al, Jefferson and Marcy, Bud and several women (including Al's boss), but nothing with Kelly, which was the perfect plot device for the series wrap-up episode that never came...
One of the plot devices they could have used was Kelly finally getting married, and her confiding to Peg (to her and everyone else's shock) that she was still a virgin! All talk yes, but never actually having sex.
Of course, I don't know if I've seen every episode and there might be one that shoots that plot down, but if not, that would have been hilarious.
I saw, and savored, every episode, and you are on-target, my friend. Kelly, the Sex Goddess, never did The Wild Mambo in the course of the show. I would not be surprised if Christina Applegate had some input on that decision, which in the long run was the best one. She strikes me as being a very smart woman. Had the show ever received the finale that it DESERVED, I think your theory could well have been demonstrated.
PS Hey OP! The age in consent in most US states is 16.
