Hi guys! Stuck here in the backwards UK where apparently no one saw fit to give us an official release of any of the DVDs. I've borrowed someone's copy which is ruined by Dutch subtitles that cannot be turned off. My kids loved the show as much as I used to and I really want to find all 9 episodes and the Greek series on a region 2 PAL DVD. If anyone has any ideas I'd be really grateful!! I've tried Ebay but they're all a bit unclear on the subtitles matter. Thanks alot!

Why do so many of the British, including England hating Tony Blair, think the UK is backwards? For them to help initiate a show like The Storyteller is an example of just how brilliant the English are. The UK is a heck of a lot more high tech and efficient than the US, which looks almost third world by comparison. Please for goodness sakes England keep your "quaintness", old world charm, Pound and cybercafes too and stop hating yourselves. Do, however, by all means get rid of the cameras, the hideous BT tower, and cellular phones but keep England English. Please.

because things get released in other countries and therefore other DVD regions first, like this - when I tried to buy it I could only find it on Region 1, can I just say though that you immediately associated Britain with England, England is NOT the only country in the UK. maybe keep England English but to be fair Wales and Scotland are involved in the UK too!!!

'BACKWARDS UK' has seen fit to release Jim Henson's Storyteller!!

There were 2 volumes released (volume 1, 5 episodes; volume 2, 4 episodes) You can find these listed on www.play.com

Just looked at Play.com - £59.99 for Vol 1. I cannot believe my eyes. It's bordering on extortion.

Bearing in mind that these are "new and used" these are actually not sold by play.com, these are other people/companies saying that they have copies to sell

sounds basic sorry! but have you tried amazon - i bought mine on there and got the greek myths and paid under a tener.
