Even if someone is a psychotic neat freak who has to have everything exactly perfect or it drives them insane, it's always a good idea to let them know that something in the house has been damaged.
DJ and Stephanie would get in trouble if he found out without them saying anything. It would be like lying to him. Besides, if they had told him the truth, I'm sure he would have understood.
Since, they didn't do all that great a job, patching it up,I am sure he eventually saw it. Unless, off screen, they eventually told Joey and Jesse, who fixed it properly, so Danny would never know.
Here's what I would have said if I came in and noticed the hole in his wall and I asked DJ and Stephanie about it and they told me they did it:
Me: Oh man! Danny's gonna be really steamed when he sees that hole in his wall! You girls are toast!
DJ: Well, not if we fix it before he finds out.
Stephanie: You see, we talked to Uncle Jesse and he told us that smoothing, sanding and painting it would fix it.
Me: Lame! Girls, you know that stuff's not gonna work. Why don't you girls just be straight with your dad? I mean, tell him the truth. I mean, hey, he'd probably be so proud of you girls for telling him the truth that he won't beat the life out of you for ruining his wall.
LOL....right, the truth would have been so much better. If I was in that situation with my sister I would probably do the same thing try to fix and lie and then if not tell the truth. I would probably get whooped for it but at least I ended up telling the truth.
You would be in more trouble if you don't tell the truth and the fact that you damaged something by accident. So you would get whooped for it if you don't say anything because it would be like lying.
I mean, when you look at how easily he got over DJ dropping a tv over the banister, Stephanie driving a car into the house, and DJ backing a cement truck into it, it really is kinda silly to see them so worried about what kind of trouble they'd get into for a little hole in a wall. Especially when Jesse had everything need to repair it right upstairs.
Yes, but, SillyPantsJackson, don't you think that the best thing for DJ and Stephanie to do about that little hole in the wall was to just let their dad know about it instead of covering it up before he got home?
That's what I was implying. He barely got mad about all that other much worse stuff, it's doubtful he would have cared very long about a little hole that could have easily been fixed.
