Question about skits
Can anyone tell me who they are making fun of in the "Art gallery" skit and in the skit that's in black and white where they act like they're depressed and crazy.
shareI think the "Art Gallery" skit is just about modern art in general and how its pretty much seen by the general public as random and "wierd for the sake of wierd" (The Simpsons), even though the artists, critics and those in the bizz see real meaning in it and take it really seriously. I could be wrong 'cos I'm not English or very familiar with the time that F&S made it, so perhaps it is spoofing specific artists?
The other sketch you write about is spoofing Swedish writer and director Ingmar Bergman. I don't know if its a particular film of his or just a mix of his trademark filmaking in that sketch because I haven't ever seen his films.
