Surprisingly Poor

We had fond memories of this show, but it really isn't very good. They have their moments, but they are often lost in a sea of boredom. Often when they hit on a good idea, they stretch out that one idea until it has no life left in it. The movie parodies are largely poor (not all... Misery and Loveheart come to mind as better ones). I mean what was Pulp Fiction apart from fancy dress in Jen's front room? We love Dawn French, but she's wasted a lot of the time in these sketches.

Sketch shows are often patchy, but this one quite often needs a whopping great bandage. There are occasional comments in the show about it's mediocrity... clearly more a critique than a gag.
