would there be a gay character today?

it would have been too controversial back then--

Even today, I don't think they would go there, if the show were revived.

if they did a reboot today, there would be a gay character, most likely a gay man.

I don't know, I always thought Randall(whom was on during the second season, a most rememberable episode was Freddie was giving her opinion on his poem..very harshly... and he kept telling her that he hated her)was gay even when the show was on the air, like I was waiting for him to mention having a boyfriend.

I think so, but I'd fear it would be a stereotypical gay character.

With everything going on in the news these days there would probably be a transgendered character that would come in for 1 episode so the topic could be talked about and a full time gay character who would either befriend the transgendered person or would hate the transgendered person.

I'm not crazy M'Lynn, I've just been in a very bad mood for forty years.

Randall was totes gay.

Col. Taylor's son would be the gay character for sure. Always got that sugary vibe from him.

I know right me too. Especially when he had that ponytail....ewww I just wanted him to cut that thang off.

Hopefully an accurate portrayal if they did. It'd be cool to see an already out character and one struggling with their sexuality. A transgender character would be awesome too.

There's always a gay character today.

it would not be a big deal today.
