Favourite episodes?

How can there be no discussion about this, one of the greatest miracles on film? I'd just like to know everyone's favourite episodes.

I personally consider 1, 3-6 are my absolute favourites but if I had to pick one it would be #4, honour thy father and mother.

Episode 5 on the Death Penalty was my favorite. I remember seeing it in a college course and after that I had to watch the whole series. A real powerful episode/movie. As great as it was, my god was it dark and depressing.

I didn't watch the hour-long episode 6 but I watched the longer version, A Short Film About Love. I'd say that was my 2nd favorite. 3rd would be the first episode.

Episode 4 with the father/daughter thing was well-done and stays with the viewer, but a little too twisted for me.

Seems irrelevant to be responding to a long-dead post, but I just got my Dekalog certification.

9 of them are tied for first place in my mind, but I'm having trouble deciding on which one comes in second place.

Having read all the previous posts it's hard to disagree with almost anything said. It causes me to wonder how many of us picked our favorites because of how much of ourselves we saw in the characters. I know I did.

Hmmm...almost no cinema I've seen in a dozen years has affected me as much as 5, and close behind, 6. Is that troubling?

The last shot (and sentence) of episode 2 is devastatingly sad ...
