I just finished watching all 10 films. Here is my rating of them on a scale from 1 to 10:
A perfect 10 for episodes: 1,10;
A rating of 9 for episodes: 5,4,7
A rating of 8 for episodes: 2,8,9;
A rating of 7--7.5 for: 3,6.

I won't rate them, but I agree that the first and the last are the best.

I wrote down the following ratings when I was watching the episodes. My ratings are a little low because I found it a bit slow sometimes (and in the case of Episode 5, I started to get a little bored). Yet despite these relatively low ratings, I'd give the entire work an 8.3, and I think it would just crack my top 100. I know that my overall rating sound extremely illogical considering that I didn't rank any of the films above an 8, but I think I rated the episodes harsher than I normally do with films. I also appreciated every episode more as it drew to its conclusion, and I had time to reflect on it afterwards. Similarly, I think the entire work is greater than the sum of its parts; it really is an amazing piece of work, even if it was a bit (only a little bit) of a chore to watch the whole film.

OVERALL, as a whole: "Dekalog" gets a perfect score (10) in my book.
