Molly Dodd fans?

I know there are at least three of us who've posted on the General Discussions board here.

Any others?

It really was a show ahead of its time. No laugh track, intelligent writing, first show I knew of to show an interracial couple.

I watched it when I was a teen in the 80's, mainly because I liked Blair Brown from other roles (chiefly in Altered States and Continental Divide). I also liked the fact that it abandoned the laugh track and assumed its audience would be smart enough to figure out the dry humor themselves--two decades before shows like The Office and Arrested Development made it fashionable. Would love to see episodes of it again.

I hadn't seen Blair Brown in anything before this show, but did afterwards because of it :)

Exactly, it was so refreshing to see a show whose showrunners actually expected the audience to get, all on their own, the humor of their great lines.

I'd love to see it again too. I remember reading there was some legal reason why it never had been re-aired. Something about the rights to all of the music in the show.

That's sad to hear that music clearance issues might be one of the reasons the show has not resurfaced. Shout Factory might be able to rescue it if there's enough interest. I looked for episodes on Youtube and cannot find a single one, indicating the handiwork of copyright lawyers because I'm.sure there were at least a few people out there who recorded it on VHS back in the late 80's.

Okay, come on. I KNOW there are other Molly Dodd fans here.
