Two things I don't get about the Luther/Lillian betting episode...

1) What was so great about Lionel and Rhonda? I didn't think either one was that attractive.
2) 'You only asked me out because of my... face?'. What is her problem? People don't ask out ugly people. Or is it she feels that she doesn't have a good body? Or what?
