Something I never understood:
Why do the actors get upset when the prince enjoys their show towards the beginning of the episode?

Hmm I'd guess it's because they think the prince is pretty dumb and resent having to get his approval to be considered a success.

The Prince is a moron and a philistine. So his liking of their play leads the actors to believe that it probably isn't very good.
