Let's see this on DVD already

If that's not worth it, at least get it going in reruns again. It's shows like this that makes me wish there was a Cartoon Network that didn't have to cater to Time/Warner properties, and could just show great shows from the '80s like this all the time.

The Bionic Six DVD can be found for sale at:
http://www.totally80scds.com/

Not sure how legal this is, though.

reply

Ah, they're all on VCD. Well, it's something to look into, but I think I'll hold out for something official if it should happen. I just don't know about the quality of those.

reply

I would definitely want to check out a dvd of this cartoon to see if nostalgia has made me think it was better than it actually was.

I cannot vouch for the quality nor the vendor but this site has the complete series on sale.

Yes, this was one of the greatest animated shows of the 80's! Let it be released on DVD. Most of the original fans are now young adults with careers and steady incomes to purchase great childhood nostalgia (hint, hint).

Why don't we vote on tvshowstodvd.com?

Chad-361 is the owner of atlantictradingdvd.com If you look at his posts you'll notice that all of his posts are spam for his web site, and the webmaster of that site is [email protected]

He is lying, and didn't buy anything there since he owns it.

Transformers has come out on DVD and that was around the same time.

Two seasons should be easy to pull off with an extended size Box set.

I've been watching the show again via downloads and wondering how some shows that were total garbage keep getting DVD releases for Nostalgia's sake while good shows like Bionic Six don't.

It's annoying.

reply

Bionic Six should be glorified on DVD/Bluray. keep this thread alive.

Why on Earth were Galaxy Rangers and Bravestarr released on DVD and Bionic 6 not

reply

I wish a company like BCI would get the dvd rights already. Maybe release the show in season sets. Heck, I'd buy volumes too.

Not only was the show great from a nostalgia perspective but the animation was pretty damned awesome too, especially in comparison to a lot of the other shows I love from back then.

Still got my fingers crossed, waiting for Judas Contract to get green-lit

And Bionic six had Rock 1

she was as hot as a cartoon character could ever be

And yeah I would buy even bare bone DVD's on sight as long as the picture and sound quality are good enuff to regive this show it's glory

The animation was done by the Japanese studio TMS, which was known for its high quality. The only animated series on American TV during the 1980s that could rival the look of Bionic Six were other shows animated by TMS, including Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers and Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light.

They just released the animated show C.O.P.S. on Netflix, but no Bionic Six yet...I'm still holding out for this DVD.
