Should be called Hippie Post Office

...'cause it's 14 hours of Kristofferson mailing it in. Interesting man,but terrible choice for the role of all-American saviour.

Fascinating (and kinda realistic-sounding) political drama (the Bradford character, Milford's wife, and the Russian commandant are well done, the Heartland concept entertaining) let down by horrible editing. It really could have been 2/3 or 1/2 of its length and be just as effective; some scenes are just milked waaayyy too long.

That, and it's tough to get the ol' American spirit going when most of it is shot in Canada (the big Heartland arena scene is in Copps Colisseum, for god's sake, lol).
