Did anyone support the US being dissolved?

First of all I am not American so I don't have the natural patriotism that this series would try and instil from its viewers.

Anyway the more I watched this and saw the conditions in the country and how the Soviets gutted the USA, the "United Nations" occupying and terrorising the population and its puppet government from a logical standpoint I supported Heartland breaking away from the U.S and freeing itself from the aristocratic Soviet Rule.

Obviously it wasn't the best situation but it made sense in the scheme of things and oddly enough I felt for the Soviet General and Sam Neil who really were not badly intentioned but had to make a sandwhich out of a pile of poop so to speak.
