Seriously, I would love to have a real discussion about this great show, but it seems like anyone posting on these boards just want to talk about how cute Hanson was or that the later seasons sucked because there wasn't enough Johnny:(
Is there anyone out there that can discuss this show without having a huge boner for Johnny Depp?
By the way I'm a big fan of Johnny's and he was great on this show.
I hear you. He wasn't what got me interested in the show, he wasn't why I watched more than the first episode, I wanted to see cops as high school kids kicking ass, and as far as the cops themselves go, he's not my favorite either, too serious in most parts.
sharenovastar, can I ask what your favorite season is overall? If I had to pick one, I think that season 2 is probably the best. Season 3 was pretty well done with a few Sh!t episodes mixed in. I felt that by the end of season 3 with the two part season finale and cliffhanger of sorts that the show was really starting to be really great, it seemed like they were actually paying attention to the continuity which was a step up from previous seasons. With season 4 picking up with Hanson still in prison and continuing that story arc I was almost giddy because I thought it was very well done and that the 4th season was gonna be a real treat and blow the previous seasons out of the water, man was I ever wrong.
Do you agree or disagree about the 4th season being messy?
I'm still just in season 2, I'm a slow watcher, I like one episode here, one there, and that said I still prefer season 1 because Jenko was in it, short lived though that was, and he seemed to have a better idea how things worked than Fuller did.
shareOh *beep* I didn't realize you hadn't seen the entire series. I apologize if i spoiled anything. I'm glad you appreciate season one though, it's different but it's very unique in it's own way. Do you have a favorite episode so far? I love every episode with Jenko in them so it's hard to choose a favorite from season 1. Orpheus 3.3 from 2nd season stands out in my mind. If you haven't seen that one yet then you're in for a treat.

Favorite episode...that's a hard one the pilot aside, so far from what I've seen they're all pretty good, they all have their strong points to them. Though I particularly thought How Much is that Body in the Window? was a vastly overlooked and underrated one, they didn't pull any punches why teens shouldn't fck around with steroids, and it was also funny the way everybody kept poking fun at Penhall's 'baby fat', and that's AFTER he lost weight, imagine if it had been a first season episode.
