THE ENDING

I JUST BOUGHT AND VIEWED THIS MOVIE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS. PRETTY MUCH THE WAY I REMEMBER IT BUT I WAS PRETTY DISAPPOINTED IN THE ENDING. I THINK IF I WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THE ENDING LIKE THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT IT. IT WAS TERRIBLE. TO ME IT NEVER REALLY FINISHED. I MEAN I GUESS THE KILLERS DIED BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PEOPLE THAT WERE HIDING UNDER THE STAIRS? I REMEMBER ONE OF THE KILLERS WALKING ON THE PORCH ABOVE AND A SNAKE SLITHERING ON THE GIRLS, BUT DID THEY GET KILLED. I JUST THOUGHT THE OVERALL MOVIE WAS OK BUT THE ENDING WAS AWEFUL.

They didn't get killed, at least by the guy walking on the porch, he leaves the porch(and leaves the 3 under the porch alive) and ends up getting electrocuted and shot with the crossbow later on.
I like those kind of endings where the killer thought to be dead opens eyes in the final shot, or in Zero Boys case a new killer is revealed.

Don't hunt for death, boy. It will find us all soon enough.

These endings suck. I don't understand why so many movie makers feel the need to prepare the audience for their big sequel especially when 95% of the movies that pull a stunt like this suck ass. I can't think of one of the great horror movies that set up an obvious sequel ending. Real movies that delivery real horror don't need to prepare an audience like that...the audience just craves a sequel from the pure genius put on screen. As for the zero boys, it attempted to be an 80's slasher with very little action. It's pretty poor, but if you are a fan of 80's horror like I am, put this one on the bottom of your list and eventually give it a viewing.

The original Halloween and Black Christmas both feature similar endings to Zero Boys- Just when you think it's over it's not. The only difference is instead of hinting that the killer was still alive like Halloween and BC, The Zero Boys was showing that there was one more killer left. Friday the 13th hinted at a sequel by having the lead girl at the end say something along the lines of- "Then he's still out there." A Nightmare on Elm Street and Phantasm both give endings where the villains weren't dead after all.

No pulse, no heartbeat. If condition does not change, this man is dead.

I always really liked this film but it needed a better ending.

I remember watching this (over 20 yrs ago) & thinking, "Whew, they're finally safe, they killed all the psychos," & then you see the last psycho hiding out in the tree...

I really liked the ending. Nico was obviously thinking of making a sequal but never got round to it.
I'd like to think that the ZERO BOYS and girls made it back to civilisation.
What a great story to tell their mates down the pub?
To quote Casey 'THE ZERO BOYS are the best'. 10/10
