Keanu Reeves Only Good Movie

who knew that Keanu could play net, but I guess it's expected if you're Canadian. His best movies are where he doesn't try to act and sound serious, ie: not the matrix

I'm not even going to scroll down and read to see if any drama queens either argued your point or even defend him. Perfection!!!

Point Break & The Gift - you have to give him credit for these movies at least ...

He was good in a *beep* of movies, sure he was really crappy and OTT in some, but like in Hardball, I thought he totally over did it here and there, but i was crying a river when he started making that speech and started crying at the funeral. Isn't that pretty good acting? Like, when a man can cry ina movie? Especially since it's based on a comedy. Also in Sweet November, he cried in that too. So touching. Anyway, what the hell would i know? I just think that if a man has enough talent in him to fakely cry he passes as a decent actor.

Oh and also, when Keanu was a teen, he was such a good goalie in hocke he was nicknamed "THE WALL", that's how he got the role in this movie sort of, they were holding auditions for hockey players with acting skills and he auditioned or something.

What about Bill and Ted and Freaked (he was uncredited in this one)?

Keanu like him or hate him has made many movies, good bad and ugly.
He was good as the goalie in Youngblood. Small, supporting role.
He showed great acting skills in the River's Edge and My Own Private Idaho.
He was funny in the original Bill & Ted's Excelent Adventure, a role that was in the tradition of Sean Penn's stoner in Ridgemont High. The role typecasted him for a long time, in some ways it still does.
I liked him in Speed and that surfing/bank robbing movie- although just to hear him speak it was hard to shake the Bill & Ted movie from your head.
Did you know that after Speed he did live on stage Shakespear in Canada where he reportedly turned in a decent performance, yet a line of Shakespear that included the frase "most excelent" caused some chuckles.

Youngblood was a pretty lousy "hockey movie" though...

Not just you, I too enjoyed both movies that you listed.

I like the fact that he is hardly in it!!! Thats always a bonus!

what about The Replacements?!?!?!

but ok... so I recorded this and it cut off right after they won the championship or whatever and Dean was signing autographs and the girl comes up and leans in for a kiss and BOOM it cuts off...

I don't really remember Keanu in any part before that, like what parts did he stand out in that I may have missed... or anything after that??

He never really stands out. A couple of shots of him listening to the coach. In one scene the coach is berating the team for their play and says he'll drop them down to the junior C hockey team the "Tallahassee Warthogs", and Keanu mouths the team name in confusion. In his biggest part of the movie, some of the team take Youngblood out to a bar in order to give him some rookie hazing. While there they are discussing Racki, the biggest goon in the league. Swayze says something like, Racki is brutal even for this league, to which Reeves replies in some weird accent, spoken like he's toothless, "That man, he is a *beep* animal." That's about all we see of Mr. Reeves...

"A fonzanoon is someone who farts in the bathtub and then bites the bubbles."

Oh I forgot one other Keanu scene....when Youngblood is getting broken in like Sea Biscuit by the boarding house lady, Keanu and one of the other players are eavesdropping and Keanu says, "She do it to me last year, eh...", and the other one says, "She do it to me last NIGHT, eh!!!".

All I can hear when someone mentions Keanu Reeves is his line in "Speed" when he says, "Cans. It's just cans". Awful, awful, AWFUL! He was just okay in Point Break but I actually like that movie. Anyone see "A Walk in the Clouds"? He was actually pretty good in that one.

River's Edge, Permanent Record, Point Break, Speed, The Gift, etc.

All good Keanu Reeves movies.

Not true; "The Rivers Edge" is a good film. So is "My Own Private Idaho," as was "Thumbsucker," and "I Love You to Death." Reeves was never a strong actor, but he was in a few good movies.
