Spanish maid @ party

Isn't the maid, Linda Fiorentino? It sounds like her and also looks like her. I see no listing of who plays the maid in the credits and IMDB doesn't acknowledge her at all. I did notice, Terry Fiorentino in the credits. In Linda's biography, she has a sister, Terry. Who knows if I'm right?

I dug up my taped copy out of mothballs and watched it last night. Hilarious. I thought it was Linda Fiorentino myself. Odd that the credits list Terry as 'hitchhiker'. Could that have been one of the two women in the beginning of the movie seeing Jake and Barney off on their car trip? The maid looks awfully like Linda. Perhaps she was uncredited? Perhaps she wanted her name removed from this zaney movie out of embarassment? It was a great movie and I remember seeing it for the first time. I laughed so much my jaw hurt halfway through the movie.

I'm so sure that's her! I just needed another set of eyes & ears. I saw no other way, than to post a message on this site. Where else can you talk to someone about something so trivial as to who played a bit part in a forgotten movie? How can we, otherwise, confirm this is her?

reply

I'm 99.9% it's her. Since the last time I saw this movie I hadn't heard of Linda Fiorentino, but the moment I saw the maid I thought it was her.

Yes, that is Linda Fiorentino. The director of this movie (and uncredited writer) is John Byrum -- Linda's ex-husband (although they were not married at the time of this filming). Her sister Terry is also in the film, as one of two women who wave goodbye while the two guys jump into their car on the road trip down to Florida. Another cameo -- Jack Nitzsche, amazing film composer and co-creator/arranger of the Wall of Sound with Phil Spector -- who plays the angry motel owner when the guys mess up the pool (although Jack's voice is dubbed).

I just watched the movie today and thought the same thing. I watche dthe credits to see if it was but she's not credited there or Imdb, but i'm 100% sure it's her. She was in two different parts of the movie too. She got stabbed with the fork in one part then dance with the jerk-off in the other part. I just wonder why she's not credited even though she had two speaking parts?

reply

No. Elizabeth Arlen was poked at, with a fork.

If that was Linda, then she should not have been embarrassed. This is a fun movie and she's been in worse stuff.

Yes it was Linda. Check the credits, she's listed as "Spanish Maid", (un-credited).
