"You and Me" is correct !

At the end of the film he says to Sissy Spaceck "It will always be you and me". And she puts his hand on his lips to correct him and says "you and I". You and me, however is correct- because they are the object, but the subject.

I also had a pet peeve with that line as well! I didn't notice until I recently re-watched the movie that it's a nod to beginning of the movie. Sissy says something like "Sara Mae and me always go camping" to which Kevin corrects her by saying "Sara Mae and I"😃

And he would have been correct. So maybe it was an inside joke. I missed the beginning part.

"Life is like a box of Krispy Kreme donuts".

yeah it was basically an inside joke, if you missed the beginning it doesn't make much sense.
