Suicide? SPOILERS

The reviewer from Italy seems to have some difficulty with this film. He states in his review "....his plans to start his own business get buried with his associate (Esko Nikkari), who commits suicide five minutes into the movie."

Don't want to nitpick, but it's actually closer to eleven minutes. A not insubstantial period of time when you consider the short running time of the film. More importantly his co-worker, whose plan it is to start the new business, says that his main reasons for so doing are that he's been collecting rubbish for 25 years and he doesn't want to die of a heart attack doing it.

Which is precisely and exactly what happens to him. How this translates into him committing suicide I really don't know. Perhaps the Italian version was more, er, histrionic.

Film critics watch several films in a single day, mistakes are inevitable and happy pretty often.

That's what they get paid for. Not just for some philosophical BS about the meaning of life, but the small details.

As I said three years ago (!) it's just nitpicking. But it's still worth a comment and shows just one reason why I rarely pay much attention to critics.
