Realistic portrayal of an alcoholic and a family

I have see first-hand what alcoholism can do to the family. How it can affect every single person they know, from the alcoholic to even friends of the alcoholic.
This film shows the gritty reality of how alcohol can tear a family apart, and how love and will can put it back together again. Its real without sensationalizing.
Andy Griffith was very convincing, as was the early acting efforts of a soon-to-be star- Keanu Reeves.
He was great in this film.

A must-see.
