What is this movie about?

This film concerns a Japanese unit during WWII that does vivisection and medical experimentation on some American flyers that have been shot down in the Pacific theater. It's allegedly based on true case histories, similar to those of the infamous Unit 713 (there may be some connection).
It played briefly in theaters in Seattle (where I lived at the time) and has never been seen in any form since. I regret not having had the nerve to go and see it then.
How can you see the movie from this IMDb site? I only find information about this movie but no link to the actual movie. I am interested in it since I read Endo's novel "Deep Sea". I was having a bit of unease after reading the book but after a month I have peace now, it all depends on how I choose to look at the questions and problems in life. But I like Endo's view of probing these problems with his oriental root.
