Just watched this movie again yesterday, and was wondering if some one can confirm that the scenes shot in the mall were shot at North Park Mall in Richardson Texas. I have been to that mall several times and want to say that it is the one used.

There was a thread, no longer listed, discussing the two malls used in the movie. I don't remember the names of the malls. One was an older one used for the exterior, parking lot scene. That may have been Richardson Park Mall. I recall checking out the other mall on Google Earth. It could have been North Park Mall from the GE view that I vaguely recall.
I've just located some Web references to the Mall, it is identified as North Park.

Interior scenes were shot at Northpark Mall on I75/Northwest Highway intersection in Dallas. The exterior scenes were shot at the Big Town Mall on US80 in Mesquite.
That mall is no longer open.

Thanks for the link. Didn't realize that it has been open for 50 years, and looking at the photos of the mall now it's cool to see that although tenants have come and gone and the mall has been added to, it still maintains the original architecture and design. So many other malls have been built since North Park opened in 1965 and have closed and been bulldozed while this one succeeds without major modifications or remodeling.
