I remember my husband and I rented Troll back in the 80s. I thought it was a fun little movie back then.
I saw it was on Flicks On Demand the other day and watched it for the first time in years.
I guess I just never paid much attention to the credits. I always assumed that the little girl in Troll was played by Heather O'Roark of Poltergiest fame. I'm very surprised to see this is not the case. I see that she was played by a little girl named Jenny Beck. I'd never heard of her. The resemblance is uncanny!
Does anyone else think so?

I know that Jenny Beck and Heather O'Rourke look very much alike but I think Jenny Beck did an excellent job in this movie.

I agree. Jenny Beck really was excellent in this movie. I wasn't implying that I didn't like her performance. She gave me the chills.
All I said was that the two girls look so much alike, that until I read the credits recently, I had always assumed that it was Heather O'Roarke.

Jenny Beck plays young ELizabeth in the V series. WHich is alos being remade LOL!!

Oh my goodness, my mind has just been blown! I came over to IMDB to look up Troll, as I haven't seen it since I was a kid, and was confused as to why Heather O'Rourke wasn't listed in the credits. Imagine my shock when I realized I had been wrong about her being in it all these years...I would have bet my life on it! After watching the trailer and I am still amazed by the uncanny resemblance. That helped me to not feel so clueless as to why I thought this in the first place. Unreal though. Glad I'm not the only one!

Having just watched this film in entirety, me thinks that casting was directly on purpose!

Yes! I am just now watching this movie again, and it was the very first thought I had and still can't shake, throughout the whole movie, about how they look so much alike.

Jenny Beck, as a child actress, did an excellent job in this film. Loved Heather in the Poltergeist films, as a child I always begged my mother to rent them for me. Great 80's movie, still scares me, even with its corniness.
