why isnt this more popular?

A friend of mine found this on dvd and let me borrow it.I love 80s stuff(especially horror movies.),but somehow had never heard of this.I thought it was an awesome movie...definitely alot better than I thought it would be.Now if I could just find the wraith and the gate!!

Like most 80's movies that didn't have a very long theatrical run, ToT's popularity was very short lived. Had Anchorbay's 20th Anniversary Special Edition Trick or Treat DVD not been blocked in 2006 by the film's music licence holder, it would have most certainly become popular again.

it's a pretty lame movie that would have been forgotten by now if Ozzy Osbourne and Gene Simmons where not in it.

Why isnt this more popular?

Two words: Marc Price

Bullsh!t! Marc did an awesome job considering the script he had to work with. Besides, it was PAYING work. Much like your Mom's down at the local brothel. Hoo-AHH!!!

Really, is that all you got? Dude, come back when you get out of 3rd grade. Marc Price was THE reason this movie was passed over. The second people heard Skippy was playing a metalhead, it was dismissed. Just about as lame as Marky Mark fronting a metal band.

reply

And yet...today Trick or Treat is considered a cult-classic. Go figure.

Then they missed out 'cause he did a good job. I don't watch it for Gene or Ozzy.
