Webster on bus roof?

I like this movie and realize it isnt Academy Award material and is full of mistakes and a few plot holes BUT, how exactly is the audience to believe that Webster got onto the roof of the bus? There is no hatch in the roof. There is no ladder on the back. If he ran out the exit door the Daggers would have surely seen him. I have never understood this. Any theories??
