SO...NOT...GOOD

this is a crap. i mean, see another 1986s flick. like demons 2 or
chopping mall(i'm not quite sure about its year). it's just awful. no
thrill, no fun, no dynamic. crazy background and the quality is
miserable... acting is so lame... one girl, just one girl is watchable.
i mean, her death scene. avoid this, please. i beg you. i beg you. i
beg you. i beg you. i beg you.... please don't watch this....PLEASE!!!!

I don't agree. There were three attractive girls in this film, the two friends and the waitress with the southern accent. Didn't you see her in that hot tub scene? She was smokin'. I agree that of the two girlfriends, Janna was the hottest, but Leslie was nice too. That was Stacey Logan, and you ought to see her now as she's one of the top stuntwomen in films. Unfortunately, Michelle Merchant (janna) never made any more films. Don't know what happened to her.

As far as this film is concerned, it's release/copyright date is 1986, but actually it was filmed before 1983, around late 1981 or in 1982, before Stacey started doing stunts and after Friday 13th Part 2, as you can see the obvious rip-off of the ending.

Even so, I found this a reasonably enjoyable low-budget non-Hollywood film with good locations and an interesting plot with the killer becoming known early on by the audience, as what Hitchcock often did to heighten tension. Although not as well done here.

I also found the flirting of Janna with Tor right before she's killed pretty intense and unnerving, and of course ironic as well. So my suggestion is to go ahead and watch it to make up your own mind, especially as it's finally available on low-priced DVD double with Last Slumber Party. Used to be only on rare, pricey VHS tapes.

I like this film, i know its low budget but i think its a ok film. is it true it was filmed around 1982?

The stunt person Stacy Logan is a MAN, not the bimbo in this movie.

It's one of the least watchable 80s slasher films I have ever endured. I dispise it, and this coming from a guy who could find enjoyment in The Ripper and Houseboat Horror of all things.

Why would you even care what movies other people watch?

Please. For most bad movie connoisseurs this film is awesome. It's poorly acted, poorly directed, has bad sound and the script is devoid of ANY tension or mystery, but on the plus side, it has two rather sexy lead actresses and it's fun to watch Michael Shamus Wiles in his early acting days, and I mean "acting" in the loosest sense of the word. I mean seriously, after this film I have NO idea how he still got acting jobs but I guess he had to start somewhere and make his mistakes.

This film was just BEGGING for a MST3K treatment and Rifftrax brought it to us in all it's low budget "released three or four years after it was filmed" glory.

This film could probably benefit from a remake. Improve the story and characters. I was almost hoping the ending did involve something supernatural.

NAhhh it'd never be the same. I mean sure you could make a new version and have it be GOOD but...where's the charm in that? XD

As for the ending...didn't it feel like there should have been another ten minutes or more of movie? Like the voice over was tacked on and the part where he comes out of the water was supposed to start that last ten minute long attempt to kill the heroine one last time before she kills him? I often wonder if that was the case and because the film was released so far after it was filmed, around the time slasher film sequels were starting to be a big thing, they thought they could sequel bait at the end rather than kill the villain like originally planned.

Agreed. This slow and talky snorefest was quite a gruelingly tedious chore to endure.
