Laputa in the photo vs what Pazu's father really saw

*I checked the boards and there isn't anything about this so I made a thread. My apologies if there is indeed one!*

This is just a slight goof I noticed. Around 6:10, Pazu's father saw Laputa for the first time. You can clearly see the giant tree. But when he took a picture, the frame shows the "old" majestic Laputa - not the crumbling castle devoid of human civilization in the present.

It was really confusing because during the entire movie, the image of Laputa etched on my mind was like the one up in the frame but when the characters finally found the castle, it was deserted and overgrown with roots. The transition couldn't have happened in the space of a few decades (from the time the photo was taken up to the present) so I had to go back and check.
