Really good film...

I am replying to agree with you. If Roger Corman took a dump on a VHS cassette and sold it as a movie, it would be better than this. I've had more fun watching sewage float by (unless you count all the laughs I had about how horrible the acting is, or the model space station exploding). This is torture, and I've seen some bad movies.

Looking at it in the context of the extremely low budget, I'd say it was better than a lot of similar films like this I'd seen. The last fifteen minutes actually was quite moving (I'm not joking)and the end them song was pretty good for an end credit theme song that almost all eighties movies had. In fact, I'd say that theme song was better than seventy percent of many of the eighties tie-in theme songs I've heard and I've seen a lot of eighties movies!

Movies like this are made so that you check your brain at the door and enjoy the Alien ripoff that becomes the E.T. ripoff. Or not. After that 180 in the story I thought to myself "What the hell did I just watch?"

Long live the 70's!

Actually it did have potential. The main complaint was limit of movement and acting that was plainly not directed. Conceptually a great little flick was swimming around in there but failed to float to the top. Side note...the alien design was pretty durn good for the credit card budget.

Did I like it, not particularly, but it certainly isn't the worst film I've ever seen. They are much more terrible horror/sci-fi films shot on home camcorders. I thought it was quite hilarious how Gar become a good guy at the end (born again Christian) after reading the electronic bible .

I watched this when I was 8, I still remember the name as it terrified me. Probably my first horror movie. Probably it'd be very lame if I watch it now though.
