What Stand by Me boy are you?

Girls feel free to answer too.

I would say I am the Gordie of the group. I was the shy, bookish one and my siblings and cousins were the popular, sporty etc type. I was always compared to my relatives.

I saw this film for the first time when I was 14 and identified with Gordie, even now 10 years later Gordie still reminds me of myself.

I'm a girl but I would say that I'm a mix between Gordie and Vern.

I say Gordie because I am the shy, bookish girl of the group. I also love to write.

I'm also the goofy, awkward "butt-of-the-joke" one of the group much like Vern.

For myself I would say a bit of each main character . Gordie for being on the shy and imaginative side ( as been told by other folks over the years ) , Vern for being taunted by my peers ( when I was his age especially ) , Chris for his understanding of friendships or trying to break up fights between friends when needed , and Teddy for being proud of my parents even if they were not perfect ( of course my parents would have never done what Teddy's father did to him ) . Thanks so much Jasons-Out-There for your subject post .

I was definitely Gordie. I relate to him so well. I was somewhat shy and even at a young age loved writing. I would write stories. I would wish for a friend like Gordie had in Chris who was somewhat the opposite of him. Someone who was more outgoing, had more a bad ass reputation but who protected him.

But in later years I can relate to each of the kids. They all have traits I had at some point in my life.

Mr. Grady, you were the caretaker here.

Gordie

I was short tempered and was capable of shooting someone.

I was a cross between Gordie and Vern, so the husky but naive dreamer who was the brains behind the lead guy who was my best friend who was so much like Chris Chambers come to life.

That's a tough one! I wish I could say I was Chris in this film but I'm more a Gordie with Teddie's temperament. Chris was so cool though, and mature so perhaps I'll kid myself I'm most like him.
