Low Rating of 4.9

I'm guessing it's because people find it offensive, because from a story, script, performance level it's an above-average Hollywood comedy. I for one think those who take offense at it are a bit confused.

5 is low, I think I rated it a 6... it's not a great movie, but it's definitely not racist.

Probably the latter and from people who haven't seen the film. I gave it an 8/10, loved it!

Both? I suppose some parts are "offensive," yes, but are meant to be. There are probably also some parts that are not intended to be offensive but are. They succeeded in that category, but missed the mark on comedy. Even the "shock-value" isn't really that shocking.
