There are plenty of movies I would recommend.
BLACK CHRISTMAS has already been suggested. The plot concept is the same as SORORITY HOUSE MASSACRE but executed somewhat differently. IMO, BLACK CHRISTMAS is a very sub-par movie that fails to make the grade.

Since you've seen MANIAC, I'd recommend THE LAST HORROR FILM, which also stars Joe Spinell. And HENRY, PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER is not too dissimilar.
Which version of SCREAM BLOODY MURDER? There are two - one from 1973 along with a FRIDAY THE 13TH clone made in 2000.
