Good Female Cast

"Sorority House Massacre" has always been one of my slasher favorites. It has it's fair share of suspense, a creepy killer, and nice photography and production design for a low-budget film. I think that the reason the film works so well is the talented cast. They take what could have been complete bimbo stereotypes and turn them into personable characters who you end up actually liking. When the loon starts coming at them with his knife, you really don't want to see any of them get it. Angela O'Neill, as the nightmare-prone Beth, is OK, but the other three girls are best. Wendy Martel is excellent as psych major Linda, always keeping her cool in even the most horrific situations. Pamela Ross has a goofy charm as the sometimes ditzy Sara. And Nicole Rio is very good as Tracy, the party girl of the sorority - sometimes a little bitchy but not so much that you'll root for the killer to get her. If director Carol Frank had assembled a less talented and enthusiastic cast, "Sorority House Massacre" would have been yet another subpar campus killer entry.

I agree, I love the female cast too! Plus I actually cared for Linda and Sara.

That chick Beth was so annoying...i wanted her to be the first to go.. Linda was my favorite character. was so pissed she got killed off.

Lol, what it boils down to is that you thought the actresses were good looking chicks and that they kept your attention away from noticing just how ineptly made this movie really was!

Um, actually no, filmbuff, I am a big fan of the film and I thought the young women were very good in their roles; them being attractive was a bonus.

The actress who played beth sucked ass. the girl lacked any type of personality and and I did not feel for her character. the other 3 girls were awesome, tho. Linda was my fave. i was so pissed she got killed off.

I agree, Linda should have survived - she was the most likable character of the bunch. Sara and Tracy were likable too but you knew from the get-go that they'd be the first to go (ditzy girl and sexually-active girl).

Beth did not fit in at all. and needless to say Beth was kinda ugly. and he boyfriend went right along with her.

reply

Agreed. The actresses in this film were quite personable, with Wendy Martel as Linda rating as a definite stand-out.
