Hooker has several meanings.
1 A woman with no morals

2 The ground man below a crane that hooks up the load to be lifted by the crane, once used in the steel mill industry, don't know if they are still called that or not? That was back in my dads day.

Also in the steel industry they have or had Whales operator, some type of machine, think it sprayed water?
