Darstar = Nathan Petrelli from Heroes

I saw this movie at the theater so many years ago when it came out and I was a young kid. So when I saw it on THIS HD the other night, I recorded it.

Was watching it tonight and was surprised to see that the crow kid named Darstar is being played by a young Adrian Pasdar, who has just recently been playing the part of Senator Nathan Petrelli on NBC's Heroes.

I guess this movie and Top Gun are the only movies I know with him in it during the 80s.

Somebody brought a monkey, because the monkey knocked over the salad bar...

Check out Kathryn Bigelow's modern vampire classic 'Near Dark' from '87. He has the lead role.

Yeah, I remembered he was in this and I thought he was so hot in this film. He's aged very well but for me the "hotness" factor is not there anymore. I think one of the reasons I thought he was hot was because of his long, dark hair. Plus his eyes are pretty.

Like Danbreed said, "Near Dark" is probably the best thing Mr. Pasdar has ever done. If you haven't seen it or heard of it, it is a cult classic vampire movie by Kathryn Bigelow, the lady who just won a pile of Oscars for "The Hurt Locker".

Don't forget Jami Gertz as Terra (Can you spare a square?)

or Charles Durning as the warden aka Pappy O'Daniel as the blind DJ in O'Brother Where Art Thou

Lots of careers got started in Solarbabies...and only a 4.3 rating. Too bad; I loved this flick!

Ah, no Pappy O'Daniel was the governor. Stephen root was the blind DJ.

Near Dark is STILL one of my favorite vampire movies. I liked that it changed the usual suck'em dry formula. The script may not have been that great, but the actors made it extremely enjoyable.
