I love this!

Surprisingly I'm the first post on IMDB for this wickedly, addictive title. I remember looking forward to it every xmas (as it was often replayed here in Australia) and my sister and I used to sing along, laugh along and even get scared - (off that evil moll who poisons the pie!).

Sadly it seems as though this title has faded off into obscurity. What it deserves is a DVD release. :(

Hopefully it will re-air on TV one day.

You're so right! It really does deserve a DVD release with good picture and sound qualtiy. I used to watch it every christmas as a kid. Then, i called it "A Snow White Christmas" lol. I know you don't care. But keep in mind that they release every possible movie on DVD nowadays. It'll come someday.. Wel.. I hope so!

It was released on DVD in Japan as a Region 0 disc (meaning it should play on any DVD player in the world). Shouldn't be too hard to track down a copy.

GREAT! thank you !

I love this movie too. It does deserve to be rereleased. I have looked every where for this movie and it has just faded off. They did air it on Country Music Television last year, And I got to see half of it.

Finally I have re-discovered this film. All I remember of it is dolly parton, some shrieking lady and the poison pie. It has haunted me and my sisters for years - our babysitter used to let us see snippets if we were good. Can't wait to hunt it down and get my own copy.

I got a used vhs on ebay. Probably the first time in years since I was able to watch the movie from beginnng to end. I used to miss most of the beginning.

I check the tv guide every christmas in hopes that someone may air it, I even called the stations a couple of years ago, but no one seems to have the rights to it. I'm hoping that I will stumple upon the DVD someday.

I love this movie. My family and I have it taped from the tv from long ago. But unfortunately the tape is getting old and won't last much longer. The color is already fading and there are lines through parts of the movie. I love watching this movie at christmas time. I just hope it will come out on DVD sometime soon or at least play on tv this christmas so I can re-copy it until it does come out. If anyone here's anything about it please let me know.

Like everyone else, this is a great movie from my childhood. I watch it every year and will continue for as long as my vcr works! It brings me back to being little and it still makes me excited about Christmas, as nerdy as that might sound. :)

If you all liked this movie, you would also probably like the very similar 1987 [hard-to-find but is available] TV movie titled "A Place to Call Home". This movie is described as "A really good, heartwarming true story of a Houston family that relocates to the outback of Australia (minus the father). The wife is forced to raise all 11 children by herself when her deadbeat husband decides he wants no part of the family anymore. All seems to work out in the end, with many of the children deciding to stay in the outback".

I don't recall seeing it as a kid, but i watched it on television this past Christmas. I got the warm and fuzzies. I loved Dolly's singing, the innocence of it all and the nature, everything.
Plus having been a child in the 80's i somehow felt like a kid again myself.
So yes, thanks that there's a DVD release so i can own this or give to my neice, etc.

This movie originally aired on ABC 20 or 21 years ago because I can remember watching it with my dad and my sister who is a year younger than me. I am not 35 years old and the only reason why I loved this movie is because I was a major Lee Majors fan.

I grew up in the 70's watching The SIX Million Dollar Man and The Fall Guy during the 80's! I also saw this at one time on the USA Network as well! It is a great Christmas movie to watch!
