An Evil Witch Appears Throughout This Christmas Movie

******Spoilers******

I fully believe in poetic license but this movie went too far. An evil witch doesn't belong in a Christmas movie. I expected much more from Dolly Parton.

The story is unrealistic and simplistic, geared toward young children: A pampered singer (Dolly Parton) needs to get away so that she can have a country Christmas in the hills and write songs. She calls an old friend and makes arrangements to spend the holiday in a cabin in the hills that belonged to her friend's parents. When she arrives, she finds living in the cabin several young children from different families who don't have parents and she promises them that they can stay with her until after Christmas. They all meet and befriend a feared mountain man (Lee Majors) and find out how nice he is, and the children ask Dolly to adopt them. However, there are bad people in town who don't want this to happen.

Also introduced are a Paparazzi, a sex-crazed sheriff and two mean old sisters who run a dilapidated children's home.

During the movie, the witch tries to kill Dolly by bewitching and poisoning her because she thinks that Dolly wants the sheriff.

Unexplicably, the sheriff finds out that the children are in the cabin and goes in with guns blasting and arrests Dolly and the younger children. The oldest boy finds the mountain man and they set out to save the children and break Dolly out of jail.

The rest of the movie is more pure garbage.

You must of really hated the movie to write all that up. Do you feel better? As for the film, I think it is pretty good for a made of tv film and I loved the homage to Snow White.
