The woman playing Gwenda drives me nuts. Her dialogue delivery is so wooden! She really sounds like she's Icting with a capital ick.

I know it's quite a few years since your post but I had to reply anyway. Watching Joan Hickson's Miss Marple now on our free to air channel in Oz which is in 2 parts. I'm loving this version more than the other one which seemed to have changed the plot somewhat. However my gripe is the character playing Gwenda who is supposed to come from New Zealand is speaking with a dreadful " Strine" (Australian) accent. Surely they could have found a couple of Kiwis to hear the difference. Also to me, Gwenda came from a upper middle class family and she would have had a cultured accent with a hint of the "fush and chips" about it. If you don't believe me, I hope you see the new TV series, 800 Words, set in New Zealand about an Australian family moving to a small town in NZ.
