One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

The charatcers were EXTREMLY stupid.
They all did stupid stuff at the wrong times.
Like the two having sex in the middle of the dark cold night in the creepy school knowing there is a killer picking them off one by one? And how the hell did the girl drown...she climbed back once, and once the killer was gone, why didnt she do it again? The whole movie was crap.
They could of got out of the school.
The writing was utterly bad.
And the acting....UGH!
I cant believe I wasted my time on this. I usually love cheesy 80's slashers like CURTAINS (1983) PROM NIGHT (1980) HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME...but this...was just bad...and not in a good way. It was bad. And it sure as hell doesnt deserve a DVD release.

What do you expect with a movie called, "Slaughter High"???? Its supposed to have bad acting and stupid characters, you can't actually take it seriously. This happens to be one of my all time favorite movies!! That being said, your opinion SUCKS. You bash this movie one more time and so help me God, I'll give you a swirlie.

Its better than Scream.

We are unable to find the switch to turn the lift off, can't stop the dancing chickens.

"One of the worst movies I have ever seen."

I couldn't agree more. Absolutely awful.

Dude you forgot about the chick that takes a bath just to wash a little blood off of her face, the fact that they attempt to repair a tractor to ram the doors when they can obviously escape from the building without doing this (the one chick simply runs out somehow), and they leave the one guy to fix the tractor all by himself when they know that a killer is in the building. In addition, who the hell would go in the school building if it was condemned. In most horror movies people do these kinds of things because it is not known until the final act that their friends have been murdered, but in this "film" they know exactly what is happening very early on. This was very poorly written indeed. Within the horror genre you often have gems that never achieved mainstream recognition, but there are obvious reasons why no one has heard of this garbage.

Not all films are underrated, misunderstood, or decent for the time period; some just suck.

I know it's been 3 years since anyone replied to the OP, but I saw this movie for the first time a couple of nights ago and have to put my two cents in as well!

SPOILERS AHEAD

Other factors that made no sense: 1) How Marty developed superhuman strength to lift the janitor with one hand. 2) How the janitor was impaled onto the spike with absolutely NO force applied. 3) How the building was condemned yet had hot running water and electricity. 4)How no-one saw Marty get out of the BMW to prop his victim against the fence and then get back into the car to drive it around to show the guy in its headlights 5) How there was a total lack of urgency to catch up with a character when they hurridly ran off (typical example being Carol and the girl who eventually fell into the sewage pit). 6) How Skip stepped out of the doorway into the hall, looked left and then right, but was grabbed by Marty even though he would have clearly seen him. 7) How no-one had aged even though the reunion was set 10 years after the start of the film.

DDAY44j and others above sum up the other nonsense perfectly, but of course as it was all a dream and not actual reality, you could argue that it would make no sense!!

Sleep deprivation is a one way ticket to temporary psychosis.

Each his own, however for me it's one of the best slashers, not just 80 years, I find it ages very well.
The mixture of schoolboy humor and horror is great, and the whole is much more fun than a slasher like "Scream" for example.
The characters are not more stupid than the characters in slasher movies produced at that time.
When the two characters in the famous sex scene you described, first at that time in the slashers rule was simple: It was the sex scene. And then it all happens in a dream of Marty and the guys often dream of sex, then a guy like Marty (who is a virgin, the recall) in a dream more than others.
However, you quote a very good slasher movies, so I really think you should give a second chance in this film, with your prejudices on the script (there are much worse in the genre, and they are even more venerated sometimes, point of talking like a film of a generation) and interpretation (After all, once again in the genre actors are not there to won the Oscar) (Always when the interpretation, Caroline Munro, is pretty good actress, here is probably the only one in the cast to have a real career for that matter).

"After all, once again in the genre actors are not there to won the Oscar"...no they aren't but when I watch a horror movie, I at least want to like the characters to a certain point. They were basically a**** at the beginning of the movie and continued. I know a lot of the fun of watching these movies is to watch the a** character to get killed off but I had no fun watching anyone die, except for the blonde (and that's because her acting was really, really bad). At least the kills were effective, lol

Spoiler alert only read below if you saw the movie.....

Your argument is null and void. If you remember in the end it was all Marty's dream. He woke in the hospital after surgery. Dreams do not always make sense. Nice try though.......SO IT WAS A GREAT MOVIE, especially for your October viewing.

you like scream 3 lol your opinion is meaningless

reply

Well, I think it's very fun to watch. It doesn't take itself too seriously and for that, I have a good time watching it each time.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.
