This has already been released by arrow video, so special features can be carried over from that release, but a new HD transfer would be very welcome! I'd buy it! :-)

Somebody at arrow said it wasn't possible to transfer slaughter high to blu and it had something to do with the original elements of the film, I think arrow would have released the blu ray at the same time as the dvd if possible
shareSomnething is up with the original print of the film...the light looks very faded and washed out, almost blurry. Same thing with the original "Prom Night" film. I wonder what it is.....

Prom night recently got a blu-ray, I don't have it but I heard the transfer was very good - miles better than the old dvd. I do have the arrow dvd of Slaughter High, it doesn't look bad to me - a little washed out maybe, I have no idea why it couldn't be transferred to blu though
shareEspecially in the beginning of the film when Marty and Carol are in the hall outside the locker room...the lighting looks blurry. It could use a blu ray release though, but I doubt there would be many buyers....... I want the arrow dvd but dont have a regionless player.

Arrows' dvd is region free, it has a few extras that are pretty interesting if you're a fan too - I'm always impressed with arrow releases. I agree that part of the film with Marty and Carol outside the locker room looks quite bad, I suppose 'Slaughter high' was quite low budget but a lot of other low budget movies have recently got blu rays (4k restoration of graduation day, slumber party massacre etc), the print Arrow used for the dvd must have not been good enough to produce a blu ray (???)
shareOh well sheeit then, I didnt know it was region free!!! And yes I'm a psychotically guge fan of slaughter high. MArty is one of the creepiest killers I can remember in any horror movie, although being kind of silly. Slaughter High is a total gem in my opinion!!

I too wish the movie would get a BD release. I have been tempted for awhile to buy the DVD but I keep thinking, as soon as I get it a Blu-ray announcement will come. Might just have to grab it just in case that's all we ever get.
