Ending???

Perhaps I missed something, but the ending to the movie at the hospital made absolutely no sense. So Caroline Munro was Marty? Marty never left the insane asylum? The class he was in turned into ghosts? It's also bad that Harry Manfredini reused his exact score from Friday the 13th.

Quite obviously it was all a dream!! He had just woken up after having plastic surgery after the accident.
Who knows exactly how much time had passed since the accident but Im guessing not very long.

Yes I agree with lorddeano because my roommate & I just saw the movie last night because we got it from Netflix and it was very good. It was a dream that he was having during plastic surgery and he woke up and then we see him trying to escape from the hospital.

The director must have been stoned. the jester nerd kid kills them all, they turn into zombies and chase him and then he wakes up so it was a dream I'm guessing. Then he kills the nurse somehow and then the doctor and then pulls his face apart. End of film. Is that pretty much it?

The ending sucked and greatly took away from the movie. I like to pretend that it actually ended right after he killed Carol and everything after was just a dream.

Perhaps the idea is that Marty escaped from the hospital and started planning his revenge right after that.

That's what I thought as well. The murders at the reunion were what he had fantasized about doing for years, so at the end of the movie he was breaking out of the hospital to make those fantasies a reality.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

Wow lol. No offense, but you gotta be kinda dumb if you didn't understand the ending. There isn't anything complex about it.

It's quite obvious it was all just a dream, but it seems that people need to be spoon-feed these days.

The ending was actually the beginning. It was all a prelude to what was about to happen in 5 years.

The ghosts were an indication that, even though Marty got his revenge, he was haunted by his bad memories of what those people did to him for the rest of his very life.
