I've seen this movie about 20 times, and I finally saw Iggy. Can't believe I've missed him all this time.

reply

hehehehehe I couldn't miss him..... Plus I think that's his old building........ Knew that from his autobiography.... Was kinda waiting for him to appear hehe!

You had better watch the film again cpbockman-1

reply

Okay, so what scene is he in, what time of the film?

I shouldn't really tell you but it's when him and Nancy are being thrown out of the hotel/apartment building OR being moved coz they set their upstairs room on fire to a room downstairs when they are living in France...?

Iggy and his girlfriend (think it's his real one, Japanese girl I think) are being shown around the place coz they are looking for somewhere to rent... After reading Iggy Pop's autobiography, I think he actually DID rent a place in this apartment building which had numerous "famous" tenants over the years. I haven't watched this movie for awhile but I remember noticing it was him when him and his gf being shown up some stairs and he looked HAWT and I think he was wearing a scarf, maybe a stripy top or beret, looking very "french".

SO WATCH THE MOVIE MATE! Oh and also read Iggy Pop's autobiography which was awesome, even though I have never been a particular fan.

reply

Cool, fortunately I own the movie (lol) and will watch it again soon! Thanks!

"i like your movies man, you got a great penis"

It's the scene where Sid falls down the stairs after a fight with Nancy, before the fire scene.. Iggy's playing a total yuppy.

reply

I heard there is going to be a movie about Iggy Pop and David Bowie.

I know this message is two years old but there already kind of was a Bowie/Iggy movie--1998's "Velvet Goldmine" in which Ewan McGregor and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers played "Curt Wild" (Iggy) and "Brian Slade" (Bowie) respectively, it told a fictional mystery story based on that whole glam trash early 70s scene. There's also a character named "Jack Fairy" that seems to be a cross between Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno.

It's just an okay movie, though. You do get to see Christian Bale before Hollywood sort of ruined him.
