Some LOL moments in an otherwise dark film

Some LOL moments in an otherwise dark film. I've always loved and still laugh at certain scenes in Sid & Nancy/

Some scenes I still laugh at is the dialogue between Sid and the others in the cafe just before they set off on the US tour and Nancy is saying "Sid Vicious IS the Sex Pistols!!" and you hear a very faint, blunt Steve say "Bollocks!" quietly.
Really makes me laugh that.
And Sid saying you can't go without me Paul won't stand for it!!! LOL. And Sid's going "Paul....Paul....?" and Paul's just ignoring him -always makes me laugh that whole scene.
Other bits are the conversation in New York about whether it's a little boy or a dwarf and Nancy is saying "Sid that's not a dwarf it's a little boy" and Sid says "Little kids don't dress like that".
A lot of funny lines for such a brilliantly tragic serious film,.
And that sneering way John Lydon says "How lovely for you" to Nancy over her and Sid's romance, etc. Love the way Schofield delivers that sneering line. I usually use that when I'm being sarky with someone. lol.

i agree with you re: the "how lovely" scene...i use that all the time as well.

i like when sid's chasing nancy down the street in his biker coat, lepoard thong and boots and his mother rides by on a motorcycle and he says "alright mum".

the scene where xander berkley (the drug dealer) is in their room at the chelsea hotel and when sid tries to get up he pushes him back to the floor by his head and says "dont' get up sid, i was just leaving".

"you make 400 quid a nite being a cabby"
"why don't you *beep* off and be one then?"

there's a lot of others but you're right, whether intended or not, i think there's a lot of hidden comedy in this otherwise dark film.

"i like your movies man, you got a great penis"

"They said we'd spend it on drugs!"

"Well, we would."

Gets me every time lol

I know, right?????!!!! 😂

Well, Roger Ebert did described the movie as "powerful, hilarious, and frightening". For a dark biographical movie, it does have some elements of dark comedy.

I laughed at the scene where Sid and Nancy are having sex while Johnny Rotten is just hanging out nearby, looking bored.
