Goofy choice of words

It has been years since I saw this movie, but this still sticks out in my mind: The opening scene included a subtitle that read " 1938 The Year of Japanese Occupation ". Ummm...excuse me, but doesn't that imply that the Japanese were there only during 1938? They INVADED in 1938, and would continue their occupation until 1945, following Japan's surrender to the Allies.

That is some serious picking at tiny details. Yeah, it should probably have read "The year Japan began occupation" but really; in such a BAD movie, there is a LOT more to make note of than this.

It shows the director didn't know what he was doing, or didn't watch the movie after he directed it.

"Did you make coffee...? Make it!"--Cheyenne.

Well it was the year occupation ocurred (or begun), so it's technically correct.
same as when you say "the day people learned earth travels around the sun" , people learn this everyday at school (children) , and that doesnt make the sentence any less accurate.
