Croissant

In the first half Crystal shows up to Hines' place with a box of donuts, saying he would've brought those French things but if you mispronounce them you sound dumb (Hines' lady friend tells him how to pronounce it).

Towards the end when they have to help train "the new guys" to take over for them, when they first show Gries' (sp?) character sitting at their desk he says with a French accent, "Croissant?" in a slightly mocking tone. Was that a dig at Crystal claiming he didn't know how to properly pronounce it, and if so how would Gries know that, did i miss something? Thanks!
