so I watched 'MEGAZONE 23, PART 1' last night

Holy crap. I watched the dubbed version on youtube last night. As you might know this was used for ROBOTECH: THE MOVIE. I swear you could never see two movies more different. This contains so much footage left out, plus R:TM altered, and switch the footage around.

This film, the Shogo whatever guy (supposed to be Mark in R:TM) gets the bike, government wants it back, they're secretly going to war, and they think they're on earth in 1985, but its actually 500 years in the future, on a space station. Like that, this movie has some good ideas. Course the first half hour is just set up before it starts getting good. There's nudity, sex. But the characters are less likeable this time. Lead girl, supposed to be Becky in R:TM is a slutty bitch that would sleep with the director for a job. Shogo guy can be a major ass.

Maybe I've seen it too many times, but ROBOTECH: THE MOVIE is the better film. This is still good though, but R:TM is superior I think.

If anyone disagrees, I would like you to know I have a taste for certain bad movies, especially some from Cannon Films.
